Welcome to The Average Joe Turkey Contest — a community-driven competition built for real hunters, fair rules, and unforgettable stories.

This isn’t about who has the biggest budget or the flashiest setup. It’s about putting in the work, respecting the hunt, and celebrating success together. Our team has spent countless hours creating a contest where every Average Joe has a legitimate chance to win.

Whether you’re chasing your first longbeard or stacking years of experience, this contest is for you.

What Makes This Contest Different

For the first time, hunters can share their turkey hunt experience with the Average Joe community.

Participants are encouraged to submit hunt footage throughout the season. Once the season concludes, all submitted content will be compiled into one or more feature videos, highlighting the stories, shots, and moments that made this season special.

Seeing your hunt showcased alongside fellow Average Joes is what this contest is all about — community, respect, and the love of the chase.

How to Enter

    1.    Harvest your turkey legally and ethically

    2.    Take a clear photo of you with your harvested bird

    3.    Email your photo to media@huntingrx.com

Once submitted, your entry will be reviewed and scored according to its category.

Contest Categories

We believe in recognizing more than just one winner. The Average Joe Turkey Contest features multiple ways to win:

Adult Division

Total Bird Score =

Weight + Beard Length + Spur Length

Youth Division (15 Years Old & Under)

Total Bird Score =

Weight + Beard Length + Spur Length

Turkey Slayer Award

Awarded to the hunter who harvests the most turkeys during the contest period.

Each participant may only win one category.

Prizes & Recognition

We contest will have three total winners. As participation increases the prizes for each category will grow.

This contest will continue to grow as the community grows — because the goal is simple:

to build the largest and most inclusive turkey contest out there.

Rules & Fair Chase Policy

To keep the competition fair and honorable:

    •    All participants must be entered in the contest before any bird is harvested.

    •    All turkeys must be wild, fair chase, and legally harvested

    •    All local and state hunting regulations must be followed

    •    Any form of cheating or misrepresentation will result in immediate disqualification

    •    By entering, participants grant Hunting RX permission to share submitted photos, videos, and stories for promotional and community purposes
